Pennsylvania voters are coming up on two important deadlines tomorrow. WLVR News Director Jen Rehill has more.

Listen to the story.

Tuesday, Oct. 27 is the last day for early in-person voting in the commonwealth. Lehigh Valley voters can cast their ballots through 8 p.m. tomorrow night, at county election offices in Allentown and Easton.

Tomorrow is also the last day to request a mail-in ballot. The deadline is 5 p.m., again at the county election offices.

Speaking Friday, Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar said officials have approved nearly 3 million mail-in ballots so far – and nearly half have already been returned.

“70% of counties have already received more than 50% of their mailed ballots back. And for context, at this point in the primary, less than 30% of ballots had been cast statewide.”

Given those record-breaking numbers, Boockvar is encouraging all mail-in voters to return their ballots now, and in person, to county drop boxes as soon as possible. She recommends against mailing them at this point, due to possible delays.
