Please be patient: We most likely won’t know the results of the Nov. 3 election in Pa. and across the country for several days. Find out more about how WLVR News will cover election night and after.

Two Democratic candidates are facing off for the 22nd state House district in Lehigh County tomorrow. WLVR’s Genesis Ortega has more on the controversial events in the race leading up to Election Day.

Democrat Enid Santiago is running a write-in campaign against incumbent Representative Peter Schweyer.

She lost the primary to him by just 55 votes and claims the results were certified despite irregularities at the polls back in June.

Lehigh County officials agreed, and charged a judge of elections in Allentown’s 3rd ward with altering ballots. The judge of elections, Ericka Bickford, stepped down last week.

In the meantime, Schweyer has maintained that the primary race was settled this summer, and only his name appears on the ballot.

It remains to be seen if Santiago can muster enough write-in votes for an upset, something that’s rarely happened in races for the General Assembly in state history.
