Pennsylvania health officials say they hit a new landmark for vaccinations on Feb. 3 when the more than 1 million vaccinations were delivered into arms, according to Lindsey Mauldin a senior advisor at the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
“Vaccine providers are reporting that they have administered 1,067,180 doses of the vaccine as of this morning to 850,819 individuals,” Mauldin says.
The vaccine is administered in two doses, and Mauldin says at least 200,000 Pennsylvanians are now fully vaccinated.
“We know that the actual number is higher but that there’s a natural lag in reporting because vaccine providers have 24 hours to report,” she says.
By the end of this week, the state plans to deliver more than 2 million doses to healthcare providers throughout Pennsylvania.
