Bethlehem City Council President Adam Waldron.

March 9 was the deadline for candidates to fill petitions for the May primary election. Voters now have a better look at what to expect on the ballot.

Listen to the story.

Candidates have filled petitions and the primary ballots are taking shape but one name was unexpectedly not on the Democratic ticket.

Bethlehem City Council President  Adam Waldron has decided not to run again.

“Over the past few weeks I have made the decision to not seek re-election to Bethlehem City Council. I will take the time to focus on my four young children at home and to grow my full time business. The idea of another four-year commitment meant missing countless more bedtimes, soccer practices, and family dinners,” Waldron says in a statement to WLVR News.

Waldron has served on the council since 2014 and has been president since 2018.
