Lehigh Co District Attorney: Alleged shooter legally purchased firearm

Two people are dead and one person is injured after a shooting that began on Route 22 in the early morning of April 21 and moved to a Wawa in Upper Macungie Township.

The Lehigh County District Attorney has released more information about the deadly shooting incident April 21 in Upper Macungie Township. The alleged shooter Za Uk Lian used a 40-caliber pistol that he legally purchased in January from an area business.

The incident, which began on Route 22 and continued at the Wawa convenience store, left 31-year-old Ramon Ramirez dead. 

Another person was injured and taken to a local hospital. The Lehigh County corone’rs report has confirmed Za Uk Lian died of suicide near the scene of the shooting.
