After going on hiatus in 2020, the Mayfair Festival of the Arts returns to the Lehigh Valley.

Listen to the story.

Cedar Crest College will host the free event this weekend.

For 30 years, Mayfair Festival of the Arts has brought art and entertainment to the Lehigh Valley but last year the festivities were cancelled.

Now, it’s one of the first public events to welcome crowds back in-person since the pandemic began.

Audra Kahr, chief financial officer at Cedar Crest, says festivities will happen on campus with safety measures in place.

“When we’re out and about amongst other festival-goers, we ask that people wear masks, but when they’re sitting in their pod areas, eating with their family and their groups, that they can remove their masks and enjoy the music and the art,” Kahr says.

Kahr says they are asking festival goers to bring their own chairs.

People heading to the festivities can also get a COVID vaccine while there as Cedar Crest partners with St. Luke’s University Health Network to get more shots in arms.

The free event runs May 28-30.
