A new candidate has announced his intent to try to secure the Republican nomination for Pennsylvania’s 7th District.
And he’s a man knows how to keep himself busy. Kevin Dellicker is a business owner, a military veteran and an author. He’s now looking to add congressman to his resume.
Dellicker says he wants to advocate for safe communities, families, and good-paying jobs.
“The Lehigh Valley is really in a bind right now because there are so many unfilled jobs that need to be filled,” Dellicker says.
The Heidelberg Township resident says he wants to limit government involvement.
“Letting people have the freedom to take care of their families, to innovate, to get the jobs that they want, to get the education that they want,” he says.
Dellicker, who faces a May primary, says his lifetime of military service and his business background set him apart.
He’s looking to unseat the incumbent.
“You have an opportunity not just to pick up a seat that flips Congress from Democrat to Republican, but I do think it’s a winnable seat here in the Lehigh Valley.”
Dellicker announced his candidacy on July 15 at multiple locations in Lehigh, Monroe, and Northampton counties. A rally is planned later in his hometown of New Tripoli.
