Puerto Rican Cultural Preservation Inc. hosts its annual coronation

Families at the Puerto Rican Cultural Preservation Leadership Coronation Gala 2021 on June 27 in the Arts Park in Allentown.

Puerto Rican Cultural Preservation Inc. hosts its annual coronation gala beginning at 5 p.m.July 3 at the Comfort Suites in Bethlehem. 

The annual event is a pageant that judges adolescent girls in cultural performances, talent, and knowledge of the island of Puerto Rico and its history. 

The overall mission is to build leaders with the Latino community starting with the youth. 

A total of nine girls will be participating this year and will also be expected to showcase traditional costumes. 

The winner will take home the coveted ‘corona,’ a Spanish crown.
