ArtsQuest: More than 1 million people attended Musikfest

More than 1 million people attended about 500 performances during Musikfest 2021 which ran Aug. 5-14, according to ArtsQuest, the organization that coordinates the annual festival.
Additionally, fest-goers partook of food from more than 30 food vendors and more than a dozen artists and retailers.
While masks were not required throughout the festival grounds, they were recommended for indoor activities and shows.
Meanwhile, Pennsylvania announced more than 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 between midnight Monday and midnight Tuesday, with 27 new deaths, as well, during that time period.
