The Pennsylvania Latino Convention kicks off on Sept. 28 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Reading.

It’s back in person this year after being pushed online by the pandemic in 2020.

According to organizers, the event is an official statewide Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

The three-day convention features workshops, panels, lectures, and roundtables.

Participants will focus on topics like the impact of COVID-19 in Latino/Latinx communities, issues around the census, voting rights, and redistricting, and regional matters like housing and workforce development.

Pennsylvania Second Lady Gisele Barreto Fetterman is scheduled to deliver remarks at the convention’s gala which begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the DoubleTree.
