Gov. Wolf to visit Allentown for groundbreaking of Da Vinci Science Center

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown will get a visit Friday from Gov. Tom Wolf.

The governor is coming to celebrate the groundbreaking for a new Da Vinci Science Center near 8th and Hamilton streets.

The $65 million project is expected to bring 400,000 visitors a year to center city Allentown. 

The new science museum will be three stories and over 60,000 square feet. It will replace the existing Da Vinci Science Center at Cedar Crest College. Opening is planned in 2024. 

Joining the governor will be a number of city, state and federal officials. The groundbreaking is set for 11 a.m.
