Carbon County is the only county in the Lehigh Valley region that will move out the red phase and into the yellow phase tomorrow. But some recreational outfitters are already open, as permitted under the state plan.
Social distancing is easy in a tent in the woods.Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton opened last Friday for camping and glamping.
“Glamping is a mixture of the experience of being in the outdoors, but we also mix in some modern conveniences for you. Each site is complete with two queen bunk beds, an end table, a lou toilet, a solar powered showered, adirondack chairs, a fire pit, and a picnic table,” says Marketing Manager Ashley Seier.
Seier says these sites bring a different clientele than your average camper.
Slopeside Pub and Grill at the resort is open, too, and will deliver to the campsites.
Additional Mountain activities at the resort such as mountain biking and Summit Adventure Park will open this Friday when Carbon County moves into the yellow phase.
The stay at home order will be lifted Friday at Midnight and retail businesses and child care center may reopen.
