Future scientists across the Lehigh Valley have something to look forward to in downtown Allentown. The Da Vinci Science Center is teaming up with PPL Corp. to bring something new to center city.
Renderings of the 67,000 square foot facility were revealed April 14.
The science center will be located at 8th and Hamilton streets in downtown Allentown.

State Rep. Mike Schlossberg (D-Lehigh) says the location is crucial because around 90% of students in the district face some sort of poverty.
The new building will feature interactive exhibits like “The Curiosity Hall” and a Lehigh River Watershed program.

Officials say the new Da Vinci Science Center is expected to bring 400,000 visitors a year.
PPL is the title sponsor for the project, and part of the $72 million fundraising campaign.
Da Vinci expects to break ground next spring.
