A shortage of job candidates is limiting one of the Lehigh Valley’s summer-fun institutions.
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is curbing its operating schedule immediately, just a month into its new season.
The amusement park in South Whitehall Township will be open five days per week, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays for the rides.
Water park hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. also Wednesdays through Sundays.
Park officials said on Facebook they’re recruiting new staff members but challenged like other industries by the availability of labor.
Some jobs pay up to $20 an hour.
For more information, visit Dorney Park’s job page.
This is Dorney Park’s 138th season and the first since the pandemic severely restricted operations last year.
