Closed since early December in an attempt to curb coronavirus spread in the vast complex, Pennsylvania’s Capitol building is slated to reopen to the public next week.

The state Capitol was on high alert after a report indicated armed groups were planning to gather at state capitols.

The FBI has alerted law enforcement across the country that protests are planned at government buildings after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol that left five people dead. Several law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania are not showing any signs of elevated concerns leading up to and on inauguration day.

Pennsylvania has closed its state capitol complex to the public next week, over concerns about rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.

Harrisburg International Airport has no plans to quarantine or test personnel involved in President Donald Trump’s rally last weekend.
