In just a few years The Lehigh County Humane Society went from a save rate of around 65 percent to 98 percent. WLVR’s Ben Stemrich speaks with the Human Society to learn how that growth has led to a need for more space.

While 2020 came with challenges, it was a good year to be a rescue pup, according to Teisha Jones, director of operations at the Lehigh County Humane Society.

The pandemic has heightened the need to foster dogs, and an Allentown teacher is doing her part – 19 and counting. WLVR’s Stephen Jiwanmall reports.

It’s breeding season for cats…and that means animal shelters are taking in more kittens than at any other time of the year.
