The latest Franklin & Marshall College poll shows Pennsylvanians, including those who say they’re politically conservative, still hold an overwhelmingly negative view of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a $715 billion infrastructure bill on July 1 intended to rebuild roads, bridges, transit, rail, and wastewater and drinking water systems.

A New Jersey-born man with connections to Pennsylvania has been charged in an assault on a police officer at the January insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. He allegedly sprayed bear mace at Officer Brian Sicknick, who later collapsed and died.

Two men have been arrested for allegedly spraying a chemical on Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick and two other law enforcement officers, during the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol. And one of them has Pennsylvania ties.

Pennsylvania deployed 2,300 National Guard troops to Washington D.C. following violence in early January.
