Lehigh Valley restaurants are getting some free advertising by way of a new billboard campaign that aims to help local eateries bring customers back.
The pandemic has hit the restaurant industry hard. In an attempt to help drum up business, Adams Outdoor Advertising has donated space on all of its digital billboards across the region.
“It’s on every single electronic billboard across the Lehigh Valley. And it is basically just getting the word out: Restaurants now are just as safe as they always were and we need people to come back and support local businesses,” says Steve DiDonato, founder of the Lehigh Valley Restaurant Owners Alliance.
The campaign is using #SafeDine-LV.

Restrictions remain on indoor dining in Pennsylvania. Restaurants are limited to up to 50% of their capacity, and masks still need to be worn when not at tables.
“You have to make your customers want to come out and know you’re operating safely. But at the same time, you have staff that are dealing with the general public and they need to know that the restaurant they are working in is doing everything possible to keep them safe,” DiDonato says.
Adams Outdoor Advertising also offered to help with the design for the campaign. The billboards will run through the end of March.
