Recent national polls have shown a fluctuation in Latino support for Presidential candidate Joe Biden – which may include many Latino voters in Pennsylvania.

The Biden’s campaign response to these numbers have included more aggressive efforts in targeting this community, but as WLVR’s Genesis Ortega reports – some supporters say that may not be necessary.

Henry Cisneros served as secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Clinton Administration. He has gone on to do advocacy work for the Latino and immigrant communities– and now spends his days campaigning for presidential candidate Joe Biden — in an effort to reach a crucial voting bloc — the Latino community.

“A lot of Americans look at the Latino population, and think that we have to have a Latino strategy – but I’ve always believed that if you have a good solid American working family strategy, you will have a Latino strategy.”

Cisneros says he believes a winning strategy means small business development; improving accessibility to college and healthcare; and encouraging homeownership.

And he says he predicts Biden will have major Latino support in the November election
