BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Time is running out if you plan to vote by mail-in or absentee ballot this election season. Pennsylvania’s deadline to request a ballot is today.

Voters have until 5 p.m. to request a mail-in ballot for the May 17 primary election. You can do so online at the Department of State’s voter services website.

Today is also the deadline for ballot on-demand voting. Citizens can cast ballots in person at their county election offices through today.

Of course you can also vote in person on Election Day at your local polling place. The polls will be open May 17 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can find your local polling place via this link on the state website.

According to the Department of State, more than 794,650 registered Pennsylvania voters have applied for a mail-in ballot so far and nearly 100,000 voters have applied for an absentee ballot.

Those with mail-in or absentee ballots should return them as soon as possible, state officials say. The deadline for county elections boards to receive voted mail-in ballots is 8 p.m. on May 17.
