Allentown Health Bureau giving COVID-19 vaccines to children under age 5

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Allentown Health Bureau is joining the ranks of providers administering the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to children under age 5.
The health bureau will administer the shots on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 245 N. Sixth St. from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are not needed. Children ages 6 months to 5 years are eligible.
The Pfizer vaccine for children is administered in a three- dose series, according to the health bureau. The first and second dose must be separated by 21 days, and the second and third dose must be separated by eight weeks.
