NAZARETH, Pa. – A Lehigh Valley teenager has been arrested in connection with bomb threats that recently disrupted local football games.
Earlier this month, threats forced the cancellation of a Nazareth football game and led to officials barring spectators from another game in Emmaus where it also forced the postponing of homecoming activities.
The Northampton County District Attorney’s office said the FBI was able to electronically track the calls to a residence located in Bushkill Township. And while executing a search warrant of the home, a 15-year-old boy confessed to making the threats, which included another at Dorney Park.
The unnamed juvenile was taken into custody and faces one felony and two misdemeanor counts of threat to use weapons of mass destruction.
